If you are thinking, “why do i get so thirsty before bed?”, you may be dealing with what researchers call anticipatory thirst. In other words, your body begins preparing for the overnight fast and fluid loss that comes with sleep, so the urge to drink can show up right as you are trying to wind down.

Why bedtime thirst gets worse

What to do before bed
Try sipping water earlier in the evening instead of chugging a large amount right at bedtime. Keep dinner balanced, not overly salty, and aim to rehydrate after workouts before you get into bed.
